I’ve never had a massage before. What are some things I should know beforehand? There are several contraindications for receiving a massage. If you have any of the following conditions, you should not get a massage:
- Any type of infectious disease
- Systemic infections
- Severe cold
- Fracture, bleeding, burns or other acute injury
- Liver and kidney diseases
- Blood clot
- Pregnancy-induced diabetes, toxemia, preeclampsia/eclampsia
- High blood pressure (unless under control with medication)
- Heart disease
- Open skin lesions or sores
The guidelines here are pretty straightforward. You don't want the massage to make an underlying medical condition worse, and you don't want to pass anything contagious to the massage therapist. If you have a chronic medical condition, check with your doctor before proceeding on a course of massage therapy. It is also your responsibility inform your Practitioner(s) of any pre-existing conditions that need to be accommodated during your treatment.
You should undress to your comfort level. The massage therapist will work around the clothes left on the best they can. You should realize that this may mean that certain areas of the body may not be massaged at all, or may only receive minimal work there. If removing all your clothes makes you too nervous and unable to relax, then receiving a massage that way won't allow you to obtain the optimal benefits from it. The pieces of clothing left on the most often are either panties or boxer shorts.
If anything makes you uncomfortable during your treatment, bring it to the therapist's attention. If you're too cold or too hot, or if you prefer the strokes to be deeper or lighter, mention it to the therapist. Otherwise, try not to talk too much, as it will allow your mind to relax, and the body will relax when the mind is relaxed.
What’s the tipping protocol for my Practitioner?Customary is 10 - 20% of your charges. You may choose to tip in cash, or if your prefer, we can add it to your credit card charges. Your “tab” will be left open until our office has followed up with you the day after your appointment as part of our customer service.

Pregnant women?GreenBlissEcoSpa treatments are always eco- friendly and carefully chosen to prevent allergic reactions, to be safe for all people, big and small. Where can you set up services for a party?Anywhere: indoors, outdoors, in an office, a home, a hotel banquet room, a condo building’s rooftop pool, a nightclub. You name it, we can go there.
How do I book a party?Give us a call at 310-859-2272 to reserve your date and time. We can usually accommodate small parties of 6 – 8 people with just a week’s notice. For larger bookings, and for more choice with calendar dates, we logically will need more time. All bookings must be made with a valid credit card at least one week in advance. At the time of booking, a 50% deposit is required; with the balance due at the completion of your party.
You will be given a contract which spells out our obligations to one another during the course of our relationship. A signed contract received in our office 5 days before your party, reserves your booking.
What if I have to cancel or postpone my party?Changes can be made up to 72 hours (3 days) in advance. Cancellations can be made up to 5 days prior to your party date to avoid forfeiting your deposit.
Can I add or subtract people and/or activities to my party at the last minute? Please make every effort to include all of your Add Ons, and party services at the time of the booking; nothing can be added less than 48 hours before the start time of your party. Our parties are staffed and supplies budgeted, according to number of people attending your party. Please inform us as soon as possible with any fluctuations in your guest list. We are always happy to accommodate additional guests and services.
What’s the tipping protocol for spa parties?Gratuities are never automatically added; we leave that up to you. Customary, however, is usually 10 – 20% of your total party charges. This amount is then divided evenly into a “tip pool” for all the personnel who worked the party. This can be added to the settlement of your final charges after the party is completed, if you request. You may also choose to tip each worker yourself, with cash. Either way is most appreciated!
Is there a minimum or maximum amount of people I have to invite to a party?Three people can constitute a party with us. We have also provided services for large scale events with up to several hundred people.
What happens when some of my guests are “fashionably late” arriving to my spa party? Please make it clear to your guests the start time of the party. Once the allotted time of your party has been met (with a grace period of up to 15 minutes) our employees will begin their preparations to leave.
Can I bring in other entertainment or services with a GreenBliss party?Absolutely! Many of our party bookings involve quite a few other activities and services. We can be the whole enchilada, or simply one element out of many.
I have a party planner I work with already. Can we still have your spa services at our event?Yes! We are very accustomed to working with wedding planners, as well as other types of event designers, to fit our services into their designs. Simply have yours call us to coordinate.
Let us know if we can accommodate any concerns that you may have. Your happiness and satisfaction are our priority.
